One Year Anniversary

Well it has now been one year, that I have been keeping this blog. For the most part I have enjoyed it. I still don't understand all the technical jargin that it asks of, or suggests to me, but I'm getting by. I have taken a million picture this past year and done many fun things with family and friends. There have also been some sad moments. I have learned a lot this year from those around me. The saying that sticks out the most in my mind, came recently from my friend Kathy. We were talking about weathering the storms in our lives. She said her Grandma always used to tell her" Pray for good harvest , but continue to hoe". Just keep on keeping on or as Dory in Finding Nemo would say " Just keep Swimming". So that is my plan........stay tuned !

It's In The Genes

Yesterday was an unusual day. It was the High School Regional Track Meet. Chad is on Bingham's Track team. He does the High Jump. Karen Walker is on the track team and she does the Long Jump and some relays. The surprise came today when we seen cousin David Young's daughter Laura running on Bingham's team. She is just a freshmen an goes to South Jordan Middle. She runs the Mile and Two Mile and she is good. So all of a sudden we are at a budding family reunion. It was an ISOM TRIFECTA (sorta speak) at Regional's!!!!!! Chad took 1st In the High Jump with a jump of 6'0. Karen took 3rd in Long Jump and 1st and 2nd in her relay events. Laura Young took 1st in the Mile and 2nd in the 2 Mile. She shaved 30 seconds off of her previous time as she sprinted to the finish!! She was amazing! She set a new personal record in the 2 Mile.
I just think it is cool that these second cousins landed in the same High School with the same interests. Their Great Grandpa & Grandma Isom would be so proud of these GREATgrandkids!

They are all qualified to compete at the State Track Meet next Friday and Saturday at BYU.
