We Shoot Guns For Fun

Mike's brother Brian and his son Preston came in from Texas for the weekend. It was fun to have them with us this year.
Mike is telling me how they used to set up the camp when his Grandpa was live. This is kind of sacred ground for the Isom men.

Ready, Aim, Fire..................

Mens Choir Performance

Chad and about 30 of his friends all signed up for this class together. Not a one has ever sang in a choir. They were looking for a place they could just hang out together and get an easy "A." Don't they look cute .

Thank you Kimber for taking ALL of these awesome pictures.

Where Has Kevin Been ?

His Seattle Crew............

A Sunday BBQ at Pres. & Sis. Mc Conkie's house with some mission buds and the McConkie's grandsons.

Kevin spends a lot of time going to wedding receptions! Many people have asked me lately, "where" is Kevin or "what" is Kevin up to? So I thought I would update ya on my # 1 son. Kevin spent the summer in Seattle installing security systems with some friends. He returned home in August. He spends his time doing some installation locally for his company, playing basketball on Tuesday nights with the guys and he is on a flag football team with some friends. He is planning to go to UVU as soon he can get the money together to move to Orem. He is currently addicted to "The OC" re-runs on soapnet. Actually we both sort of are I'm sorry to say. Thanks Kev! Anyway, He's a good kid and I love spending time with him.

Busy Weekend at East Canyon

This weekend we had our annual " Conference Weekend " camp out. However this year we stayed in a condo at East Canyon. It ended up being a rainy weekend so that made the condo stay even nicer. Kimber came up on Friday evening with Mike, Me and my Mom. It was every relaxing. Saturday morning Kalli arrived with my friend Gaylene and her daughter Kristy. We watched 2 sessions of conference and ate a lot of snacks, played games and visited while waiting for a break in the weather. When it cleared some and was at the drizzling stage we took a short hike and walked around the resort. Kalli got hit on by some cute guy with ALL of us just standing there with her. That made her day, rain or no rain.
That night we went to the pool and hot tub. Gaylene took a dip in the pool for a while then joined Mike , Kalli , Kristy and Kimber in the hot tub. It was so nice to have it all to our selves. We all came in and changed into our comfy clothes and watched a movie. It was heaven !
Sunday Morning we had Chad, Melisa, Stephanie, Kevin and my sister Stacy show up by 9:00am. Jason showed up quite late on Saturday night so he was also there in the morning. We had a big family breakfast before settling in to watch General Conference. It was crowded, but so nice to have every one there together. I enjoyed the speakers in the morning session the most. By the afternoon session I was honestly just trying to stay awake and not snore in front of anyone !
It was nice to get away for a day or two with family and friends.

So Chad's In A Band....Who Knew ???

Chad and some friends like getting together and playing music. I use that word VERY loosely.
His friend Ryan has a cool music room at his house so they spend a lot of time at his house goofing around. Ryan's Dad is the bass player for Colin Ray, for all you country fans. Anyhoo, the school had a Battle of the Bands competition yesterday. Chad's group came in #2. The kids seem to like them.....go figure! They actually sounded good compared to some of the other screaming that was going on!

Fun Photo's From Last Week

Here's a little peek at our lives as football parents. We are enjoying it while it last. Who knows what tomorrow might bring~
Grandpa & Grandma Isom were able to catch the game that night.
Two of Chad's biggest fans...........Kimber is also his personal photographer..........Thanx Babe
Coming off the field and finding Dad.........Priceless!

Actually the next two pictures should be switchd but , oh well you get the idea.

Practice Makes Perfect !
Gotta love the cheerleaders , right Kimber?
No, Chad's not Jewish ! It's a "skull cap". It keeps the sweat from roll'n down your face.
Chad's kicking coach has been awesome. His name is Jorgansen. He is an Air Traffic Controler in SLC. He knew Chad's Uncle Ken Isom who retired from there. He volunteer's for the love of the sport. Thank You Jorgy!
