A New Poem to Share

Prayer

Kneeling down she takes her place
Her heart is heavy, she seeks His grace
The weight of the world on her shoulders is resting
The joys and the sorrows, the trails, the testing
Heavenly Father are you really there
Praying for answers, listening with care
Silent and still, her heartbeat is pacing
Collecting her thoughts, though her mind is still racing
Forgive me dear Father when I lose my way
Asking for strength to face the new day
Grateful for blessings seen and unknown
Faithfully knowing that she's not alone

Not Really Feeling It Yet

I don't really know where the time has gone. I'm as far from being ready for Christmas as I could be. We have had so much going on with Mike's Mom being sick. We went shopping last Saturday for a few hours, what a zoo! Older kids are hard and expensive to buy for. I decided to make several of my gifts this year and I am of course behind. Maybe when we get some snow it will seem more like December to me. Kalli will be turning 21 on Monday.... WooHoo. She has decided to go on a mission in the next few months. There is a lot to be done. Chad is taking his A.C.T.'s on Saturday then plans to hit the slopes for snowboarding. Kevin's been busy with his "best man" duties for his friend Travis who got married last week. Kimber is looking for a new job and working hard taking care of Evadna, to which we are ALL soooooo grateful!
Anyway, I'm hope'n next week brings a little less stress for the family and we can start thinking more about our Savior and His birth. I'm looking forward to going to church for the Sunday Christmas program, it is always a good day : )
Happy Holidays
